⛵ Merchant Ships Just Got a BIG Update

New industries, fresh contracts, and revamped sea trade!

All aboard, Farmers! Merchant Ships is setting sail from Terra Villa with a full trade overhaul and new adventures. This update introduces Fishing and Sushi industries, fresh pier contracts, new Seaside Stash items, limited wineries, new recipes, and more. Let’s dive in! 🌊

🎣 2 New Industries: Fishing Ponds & Sushi Tables

How to play:

To get started, head down to the Seaside Stash Store on the docks south of Terra Villa. Once you’ve gathered enough Buoy Bucks, pick up a Fishing Pond or Sushi Table recipe and craft it at the Ministry of Innovation (MOI)!

When they’re ready, place your new industries on your farm to begin. Both contribute to a brand-new land skill type: Exploration. Just like other skill types, make sure to keep your Exploration industry under the 100% limit (this won’t show on the gate yet, coming in a future update!)

You’ll also earn Exploration XP from these new industries, and both support Quicksilver use for faster progress!

🐟 Fishing Ponds:

Fishing Ponds can be placed on any farm, from Speck to NFT, and can only be used by one player at a time. There’s also a communal pond at the beach for everyone to enjoy!

Each land type comes with 4 unique types of fish to discover, alongside a common one. In total, there are 22 new fish species waiting to be caught!

As your Exploration skill grows, you’ll unlock access to rarer fish and new sushi contracts, giving your catches even more value.

🍣 Sushi Tables:

There are 4 Tiers of Sushi Tables, each functioning just like other crafting industries. Tier 1 and Tier 2 tables can be placed anywhere, while Tier 3 and Tier 4 are exclusive to NFT Lands.

Items crafted at Sushi Tables will be featured in new contracts at the Merchant Ships Pier. To start, only Tier 1 recipes will be in contracts. Across all tiers, there are 36 Sushi Recipes to discover and master. Go get rolling 🐠

The Seaside Stash Store now sells some fun new things!

As mentioned, you can now find Fishing Pond, Sushi Table recipes, and Fishing Rods consistently available in-store. There’s plenty more to discover, such as:

Introducing: The Pier Pressure Cache and Chrono Cargo

Both of these surprise boxes can be picked up for 400 Buoy Bucks each and come packed with a variety of helpful Boosts inside.

💥 So… what are Boosts?!

Boosts are time-limited potions that increase productivity for specific industries. Each industry has two Boost types:

1. Yield

2. Speed

Boosts stack on top of any Sculpture boosts already active on lands. Note that boosts of the same % do not stack, just extend time! So go ahead and consume your boosts, and get going!

🍷 Another exciting addition: limited T2 / T3 Wineries

There are 15 T2 Wineries and 10 T3 Wineries available in the Seaside Stash Store!

• T2 Winery: 33,800 Buoy Bucks

• T3 Winery: 84,500 Buoy Bucks

These wineries are the only chase releases hitting the shop for now, so be ready to move fast!
