VIP Membership in a Nutshell
For those of you who know me, you may know a while back I hit my half-birthday in Pixels, and after 6 months of having VIP, I let it EXPIRE.đ± Itâs one of those things you tend to take for granted when youâre used to it, and while you may think itâs all about the extra energy, letâs be very clear that there is a LOT more to it than that!
I got pretty comfy with all my red-carpet add-ons, and easily forgot just how many perks there are to holding VIP in-game (and out of it) - Just a few days of being back in good ole free-to-play and I was stubbing my toes left and right on just how much I lost!
I could talk all day about the different things that make the gap between F2P and VIP so wide, but you probably donât want to hear my yap about it so here you go - A fancy infographic with all the reasons why you definitely need VIP.âŹïž
While energy is certainly a huge part of why this membership has so much value, the reality is that your quality of gameplay is significantly elevated by everything else that comes with it. With fewer industries and 5000 lands to explore, your bookmarks and inventory are super helpful expansions in daily gameplay (especially if you donât have a pet with strength to be your pack mule) - and with all that extra stuff, youâre going to have a heck of a time selling it all when you only have 5 listings on the marketplace. Having 10 is a MUST, especially if you are a UGC creator!
Speaking of UGC Creators in particular (which there are more and more of every dayâšđš), the extra 1500 reputation you get from being VIP alone is a no brainer. While it doesnât automatically mean you can trade unlimited, you play for a few months and see how much rep you accumulate naturally without it. With just over 3000 rep, you can trade unlimited! Which means no more pesky equivalent value requirements in trades AND you can host giveaways, sell items for $PIXEL to deliver in game and more! (Not to mention the potential early access to other ecosystem games like Pixel Dungeons!)
Now all of that is nice, but some of the biggest perks, right now especially, are the 3 extra âVIPâ tasks on the task board, and bulk crafting. With the taskboard rewards getting âsmarterâ and more widely distributing $PIXEL, more players have an opportunity to earn, and having 3 extra tasks to cycle each day helps you get a lot more done! Not every day will be âpaldoâ but take a look - more than half of my $PIXEL tasks from just one day came from having VIP!
And finally, bulk crafting may be the biggest perk with Merchant Ships on the horizon! (Especially with more rare industries like Wineries, when itâs hard to find one public one in the first place AND not to mention, the recent introduction of Quicksilver!) You can bulk craft as F2P in a few tier 1 recipe books, but if you want to get anywhere with T2+, the bulk crafting was probably the biggest inconvenience of my VIP expiring.
In all, you get so much more than energy from VIP! If you donât have it, you now know what youâre missing.

I had VIP for as long as I can remember. I let it run out because there isn't really much to do anymore. Farming is always monopolized. Whoever has the land, harvests 10 plants and quick plants 10 seeds. The industries are limited because, well, Luke wanted it that way. The merchant fleet is only good for people who have millions of coins to spend on 120 borebranch logs or the levels to get that item. Then, you either have to stock up those items or hope you can find enough farms that have them that others haven't got to first. Another problem from limited industries.
Content creators... Nothing going on in the game to create about. I see 'content creators ' that haven't put out anything after becoming one. HR needs to do some monitoring on these people.
I enjoyed your article. If you're not a whale or not in a guild who's shard costs more than 200 pixel, it's difficult to play. Hopefully, when Luke determines he has removed all the bots from the game, he can bring industries and some fun back to the game. Otherwise, no reason for VIP right not.
