Runiverse is launching a new $PIXEL Raffle system where you can bid Quanta to get a raffle entry to win various $PIXEL prizes. The top prize is 50K $PIXEL.
Sleepagotchi staking is officially live. You can now stake your $PIXEL to Sleepagotchi. They’ve also already turned on $PIXEL purchases in game. Something cool coming: Discount for using $PIXEL in the game. It’ll be cheaper to use $PIXEL than anything else within the game and that’s where the yield is coming from. Ideally everyone will start doing daily distributions but expect weekly or bi-weekly distributions in the first stages for Sleepagotchi.
There are more games coming. Next time we add games, expect more than one to come in the announcement.
UGC Creators have been saying they don’t feel like they’re part of the content creator program - but now the UGC Creators can join the creator program and they’ll help you create content to
Reputation has always been a sensitive topic - it impacts you so much in how you play Pixels. It goes up and down, it’s a dynamic system, and we talk about it all the time. When it goes down, it sucks. People try to guess what they do when it goes down. But the system looks at your withdrawals/deposits etc. We’re trying to be more transparent about why it shifts. We know it feels really bad to lose rep when you don’t know why so we’ll try to give a little bit more transparency on some of the reputation scores. Also really interested in cross-game reputation. But also what’s the point of rep: It was supposed to be a progression system, and it cracks down on bot prevention etc. If we said from a rule perspective that you can only have one account, it’d be hard to enforce. We want more people to be playing on just one account. Your rep score is supposed to be our multi-account prevention system in a way. It’s our way to see if this user is one user. So there’s some things we might be able to do to simplify this.
Pandeko: You need a 2 layer rep system, one for behaviour that is shown like the one we havem, and the other for targeting, that isn’t shown…
So that’s kinda what we have. We have a part that we’re open about and another part that’s hidden and not public. We’re working on a new system for earnings and it’ll be part of the strategy for long-term at Pixels. The TB is maybe not the best system in the long-run - there’s a lot coming with the TB. But we probably want to remove $PIXEL earnings from the TB in the long-run and move them to this new offer system.
It’ll be a new dashboard that you can go into and earn. The dashboard will be 1-2 months before it comes out - so we’ll show rewards you can earn inside of Pixels, or Pixel Dungeons, or Runiverse. But we’ll open this up to any game that wants to use this, but they’ll have to join the Pixel Ecosystem/Staking to get access.
We have a ton of data on which users are the right users to give $PIXEL to. But this is how we’re probably going to be changing things.
Q: What’s the point of leveling up if you’re going to earn pixels this way? It’s not suitable for the purpose of the game
Not everybody will have the same things pop up on their offer wall. It’ll be targeted, and we have all of your level data, your quest data, etc. So we can easily target who to give $PIXEL to.
Taskboard might just be more coin oriented. It’ll change the way the game is played. You can add some TB mechanics in here too. Like go turn in 500 popberries to this NPC and we can give you a reward for that, or go do tasks, etc and you can get a reward for that.
Q: When will we get reputation for spending $PIXEL in Runiverse?
This will be an easy way to even do that. Through this system, we can give $PIXEL or reputation via this system. Same for the Pets App or any game we work on - this system will be ecosystem-oriented.
Q: It’s okay if you give fewer pixels as a reward, but taking one-third of it as a fee doesn’t make sense
You’ll get reputation for doing things also. And $vPixel will be released soon. You can use $vPixel to withdraw without paying any fee that you can spend in other games, or stake.
This will introduce a new meta inside the game. You’re gonna want to spend vPixel a lot more. We’re going to try to bring on more games inside the ecosystem. You might also see us experiment on new games that bring quick digestible game loops.
We’re missing ongoing live ops content. Like mini games. 4 Games Live Demo’d on the Live stream. The games will be available all the time.
High-level: We have a lot of power in the engine. We’re experimenting more with mini-games. We brought on someone who could build more games.
Make the cards game to be playable wiht 3 more people
We might be cooking up something with that. We built the coolest mini-game the other day and built something in just a few days. So expect some more stuff coming out like this more regularly. We also had some people ask about some of the details but we wont share a lot of the rewards. This is expected to use a new currency just for this to earn the rewards.
Q: Another spend pixels to win wallpapers games?
This comment is some of what’s stopping us from releasing. We’re coming out with new chase content. Someone else also asked about Merchant Ships - but all of this stuff is related. Here’s the issue with some of these things we’re trying to address right now - we’ve talked about this concept of chase content a lot. Our current chase content is just boosts, sculptures etc. We don’t have anything more interesting in the game yet. We want to introduce more things with rarity. We might start to introduce new types of tools or other types of content that’s not just $PIXEL or LO-oriented boosts. However, this is also supposed to be fun.
Q: One of the biggest elephants we have right now are BOTS that are abusing the pet reputation, when will the team address that?
We are going to significantly reduce the amount of reputation pets give. So you might notice a dip in your rep score if you have a pet. You will now get 15 points per pet with a max of 105 from owning pets. It’s just the best way we can reduce the abuse on owning pets for now. This is a temporary nerf to pet reputation which will be sad for pet owners in the short to medium term. We want some fixes around pet ownership - this is a short-term nerf.
Q: Please dont make me play in guilds/groups
This is an example of how many different types of players there are in our ecosystem. Some want to play in groups, some want to play solo. We hope to make something that suits every different type of person in the ecosystem.
One of the things we need to figure out is how do you make the economics work in Web3 games. If you’re trying to be long-term sustainable, you need more tokens spent or staked than emissions. So how do we get there? Who are the right people we need to be building for. What do we need to add into the ecosystem to build the perfect version of how a sustainable ecosystem needs to be. This last month we hit a breakthrough with there being net deposits for the first time. That’s our first sustainable month. So with this, there’s a couple things we’re thinking about. We want to build a sustainable ecosystem where even emissions are counteracted by the amount staked.
The way we did staking is really different than anybody else - the staking yield is basically derived from how much in-game activity there is. So the more people spend $PIXEL inside the games, you’re starting to see the more efficient they are with rewards the more yield can be returned to stakers. The cool thing is with this what you’re starting to see is breakaway models for sustainability here. We want to make sure we’re giving rewards to the right audience. That’s partially what we’re doing with this new rewards system (the offer dashboard). You playing the game can be helpful but we want people spending inside the game. Not everyone needs to spend, but we do need to find people who want to spend inside the game. Now if you end up spending more $PIXEL than how much you earn in the TB, you get mad. Right now, we’re building out different systems to monetize. We’re missing some of the important F2P aspects.
Fundamentally, with the core game, there’s a few things we’re doing. We do want the game to feel more fun and casual but we also want to think about how to add end-game competition etc. There’s also some short term stuff we’ll be doing with risk to earn mechanics.
Q: Another alchemist alina’s quest please!
We are working on quests - permanent additions to the game. There’s still a few weeks out before they’re added but just something to keep in mind. They will start out really low level and wont be as complex as the Alina quest, but we’re working on things.
Q: Question about unlocks June 19th
There’s nothing unusual about any of the unlocks. It’s the same stuff going on for months. Big unlocks that changed started on March 15th. There’s complete on-chain transparency. We did all investors, advisors, team on-chain. It matches 100% with the tokenomics that were announced with the binance announcement. You can see there’s nothing shady going on, every token was accounted for, we’ve shared what those contracts are on magna, you can see who’s selling or holding tokens if you want to do on-chain sleuthing. There’s nothing we’re ashamed of or anything weird going on.
Q: Market Cap. What is the actual $PIXEL market cap? CoinGecko says 37$M while CoinMarketCap lists 134$M
CoinGecko is wrong - it shows circulating market cap that was live at the TGE. Not any of the new coins in circulation in the last year and a half. CoinMarketCap is right but there’s 2 market caps. One calculation is genesis wallet in circulation. And another market cap that’s accurate which is the unlocked market cap.

So hyped about the mini-games!
The level of transparency and ambition is impressive! The team is clearly committed to the sustainability of the ecosystem and creating a rich and fair experience for all players. I can’t wait to see this in action!
