With Tier 5, you get access to brand new resources and updated crafting industries, 105 new recipes, new taskboard tasks, and exclusive materials through the new Deconstruction system.

NFT Land Owners, your existing Tier 1-4 Industries are completely safe. Tier 5 builds right on top of what you’ve already got, and you’ll earn surplus on T5 items while you’re at it!

🌱 How it works:

Tier 5 industries work differently from other tiers. Here’s a quick explanation:

• Tier 5 industries can only be placed on NFT Lands

• Tier 5 industries do not compete for space with other tiers

• Lands need T5 Slot Deeds to get T5 industry space allowance on their land

• T5 Slots expire and will need to be renewed

• To craft T5 tools, you’ll need special materials obtained by deconstructing industries

📝 Tier 5 Slot Deeds

NFT Land Owners can pick up a T5 Slot Deed from the Pixels HQ Store (top right of Terra Villa, next to Barney’s Bazaarn). Once you’ve gotten the Slot Deed, click on your land’s gate and then select “T5 Slots”. Each deed unlocks 20% of the land’s T5 potential.

There are two groupings for T5 industries: Crafting and Resource-Giving. You’ll need separate Slot Deeds for each type.

But wait! T5 Slots only last 30 days… you’ll need to renew ⬇️

🔄 How to Renew a T5 Slot

To renew a T5 slot, craft a Preservation Rune at the Quantum Recombinator in Pixels HQ and then use it on your NFT Land’s gate. You’ll need an Overall Level of at least 30 to craft one.

Don’t worry, Preservation Runes are tradable if you’d rather buy one!

⏳ Tier 5 Slot Expiration

T5 industry limits behave the same way as others. If your slot expires, the industries will exceed the land’s industry limit, and will no longer function.

Note that there are two groupings for T5 industries: Crafting and Resource-Giving.

To regain access, remove the industries over the limit or repurchase a T5 Slot Deed from Pixels HQ and restore the slots.

🛠️ Deconstruction

⚙️ The New and Improved Deconstructor

Previously called The Machine (and still located in the Ministry of Innovation), the Deconstructor breaks down certain industries and gives new materials.

💡 How to use it

You’ll need a Hearth Fragment each time you deconstruct.

Hearth Fragments drop from Hearths when Depositing or Sabotaging with Yieldstones at Overall Level 95+. It’s a % chance drop, so keep depositing, and you’ll get there!

How to Deconstruct:

1. Convert your industry to an Inactive Industry at the small machine to the right of the Deconstructor

2. Use a Hearth Fragment on the Deconstructor

3. Place the deactivated industry on the Deconstructor

4. Wait out the timer

5. Get 2-5 items back, ranging from common to rare

Help Hopper recover his lost eggs from the Cursed Hare Dimension!

🐇 How to Play

1. Talk to Hopper to start the quest and receive a special key, then talk to Hoppex.

2. Use the key on the portal, then search bushes and trees in the Cursed Hare Dimension for Hopper’s hidden eggs. Collect as many as you can in 45 seconds!

3. With your collected eggs, you can buy fun things in the Easter Egg Shop, OR purchase Easter Egg Piles from the shop and bring Hoppex for a reward!

4. Repeat every day for 5 days!

BONUS: A mystery button will randomly appear on the map. Press it to unlock a bonus gate leading to an area packed with extra eggs!

🔑 Entering the Cursed Hare Dimension

Hopper gives you a free key when you start the quest. After that, you can:

• Purchase unlimited keys for 5 $PIXEL

• Purchase 3 keys per day for 75,000 coins

• Get 1 key every time you deliver something to Hoppex

Each key keeps you stable in the dimension for 45 seconds, so move fast!

🛒 Get some fun rewards!

With your eggs, you can:

1. Redeem them at the Easter Egg Shop for cool rewards

2. Pick up an Easter Egg Pile in the shop, and give it to Hoppex for:

   • Mysterious (and potentially mutant 🧬) rewards

Starting April 6th, Guild Code kickbacks will be tiered based on the number of members:

• 50 Members - 3% Kickback

As we built Pixels, we realized that most Web3 games share the same problem: how to add ownership to games without breaking their economies or attracting the wrong users.

The hard part was never putting assets on-chain. The hard part is managing incentive alignment. And that is the biggest reason so many Web3 games have struggled.

So What Is Stacked?

At a high level, Stacked has two sides.

For players, it is one place to:

For studios, it is the system underneath that experience:

• Reward logic

• Fraud controls

• And, increasingly, an AI game economist that helps teams figure out what to reward and why

In simple terms, Stacked is our answer to the rewards problem.

What Stacked means for players

For players, the experience is meant to be simple.

You download one app, play real games, get tasks matched to how you play, earn rewards, and you claim them in one place. That’s the experience.

What makes it different is what happens underneath.

Not every player should see the same task. Not every action deserves the same reward.

And importantly: we do not sell personal data to third parties. Gameplay signals stay inside the Stacked system and are used to improve reward matching.

The first wave:

Players should think about this as a soft launch. We’re starting with the games we know best, where we control the loops and understand the economics, so we can tighten the system before scaling.

For the first few weeks, the rewards feed will focus on $PIXEL ecosystem games. Over time, more games, more reward types, and more experiences will appear as the network grows.

The slow start is intentional. As confidence in the system builds, we’ll accelerate user acquisition, grow Stacked more aggressively, and open the doors to more B2B partners. The first chapter is focused. The latter ones get much bigger.

What Stacked Means for Studios

On the studio side, Stacked is the system we wish we had from day one. At its core, Stacked is a rewarded LiveOps engine.

A studio integrates, sends gameplay events into the system, and Stacked helps decide:

• Who should get rewarded

• For what

• When

• And with what kind of reward

The goal is to reward the right behavior, for the right user, at the right moment, and then measure whether it actually improved retention, revenue, or LTV.

That is where Stacked becomes more than a quest board. It becomes a system for running reward-driven LiveOps with actual controls around targeting, pricing, attribution, and abuse.

One of the things we are most excited about is the agent layer built on top. This is not “AI” for the sake of saying we have AI - it is an AI game economist built to help LiveOps teams move faster and make better decisions.

You can ask it questions like:

• What are my most loyal users doing before day 30?

• What separates whales that retain from whales that churn?

• Which mechanics correlate with long-term engagement?

• What reward experiments should we run to improve D7 retention?

• Where is reward spend leaking without lifting KPIs?

The system can generate reports, identify meaningful cohorts, suggest experiments, and help teams create new reward logic tied to the outcomes they actually care about.

This was built in production, not in a deck. Shaped by millions of players, hundreds of millions of rewards, and thousands of experiments across live game systems.

Why we think this has a real shot

Over the last 4 years, the Pixels team has shipped hundreds of updates to millions of players. Throughout that time, we have been focused on one problem: figuring out how play-to-earn systems can actually work.

We have learned tactics to prevent what usually goes wrong in these products: bots, farmed quests, shallow engagement, bad targeting, bad payout design, and reward loops that look good on paper but destroy value in practice.

Stacked came directly out of these lessons.

Second, we already have our own games to test it in. That matters. It means we can improve the system in live environments we know deeply before expanding it outward. We’re not reliant on the success of other games to scale the systems in the beginning stages.

These concepts helped drive over $25M in revenue inside Pixels.

Stacked is already live and working

For the past year, we’ve been optimizing the system around Return on Reward Spend in our core game, Pixels. The latest iterations have pushed the economics into a far healthier place, with real spend and real burn happening inside the game loop rather than endless emissions.

So the story is not “maybe this could work someday.”

The story is simple: This works now. It is live today. It has helped make Pixels profitable.

Now the team is taking what it has learned and building beyond a single game.

The ecosystem already includes Pixels, Pixel Dungeons, Sleepagotchi and Chubkins.

That makes Stacked more than just a feature. It is the shared rewards layer across a growing ecosystem of games.

Where $PIXEL fits

A lot of people will understandably ask where $PIXEL fits into all of this.

$PIXEL remains an important part of the ecosystem, and the ecosystem itself is getting broader.

At the same time, Stacked is built to support multiple reward types. Over time, users will start to see a broader mix inside the app, including things like Stacked Points and, in some contexts, rewards like USDC.

Long-term, we expect $PIXEL to become more staking-centric inside the ecosystem.

If you follow staking closely, you may have already noticed that Stacked and Chubkins are now visible in the staking system, and that USDC support for staking rewards is live as well! That is not accidental. It reflects where things are heading: from one game and one token loop, toward a wider ecosystem where staking connects to more surfaces over time.

We’ll share more specifics around staking and ecosystem reward evolution separately as those pieces are ready.

What Pixels is doing now

We are still building games. That part has not changed.

Pixels is still core to what we do.

Pixel Dungeons is a big focus.

Sleepagotchi is part of the ecosystem.

Chubkins has been built from day one with this reward system in mind.

What is changing is how we think about all of these products together. We are no longer thinking about them as isolated titles.

Stacked is the shared rewards layer across the $PIXEL ecosystem.

That means:

• More shared identity across games

• More ways for players to earn

• Better matching over time

• More room for creator and social loops

• More learnings flowing across titles

• And a stronger foundation for everything we build next

The Pixels ecosystem started with one game. It is becoming something much bigger than that. And Stacked is a big part of that next chapter.

Resource drops altered across the board:

• Mines will only drop resources from their own tier

• The higher level you are, the more quantity of a resource can be dropped at once

Animal Care just got a major upgrade featuring revamped animals, brand-new species, and a whole new Offspring and Incubation system! This update turns animals into a full loop you can actively engage with, from adding animals to your farm or finding a farm with animals, to feeding, hatching, and raising an Offspring.

🐄 Getting Started: Legacy Animals

Start by finding yourself a Legacy Animal! Legacy Animals include the ones that existed in the game before this update, along with some new ones. They are permanent - they won’t run away!

If you’re lucky, you can get your hands on one right now at the Seaside Stash Store, though quantities are very limited. More releases are planned in the future!

Legacy Animals are important! They now sit at the start of the new Animal Care flow. More on that below ⬇️

All legacy animals will have a maximum supply of 300 in Pixels, with a few exceptions:

• Apiaries are capped at 100

• Sluggeries are craftable

• Coops respect the NFT trait

🧺 Next! Time to Feed and Gather

Once you find a Legacy Animal, the first step is easy: feed them!

It’s simple:

• Hover over the Animal to find out what to feed it. There are two versions of Animal food:

  • Normal food: craft the animal-specific food at the newly rebranded Recycler (formerly the Composter) in Terra Villa Central.

  • Sheep and Pigs require Choco Sauce. You can craft a Bottle via Cooking and then find a Chocolate Fountain to fill it!

    • Chocolate Fountains can only be used once every 12 hours. You’ll need to find one that hasn’t been recently used.

      

• Feed the Animal, then wait for the drop! You’ll need to pick up a Gathering Satchel from the Pet Store to collect the resources. The first one costs coins, with subsequent satchels costing Buoy Bucks.

• If you’re lucky, they’ll drop an Offspring 👀 More on that next ⬇️

  • The Public Animals do not drop Offspring! Only Adult/Legacy Animals on Lands!

🐣 Offspring & Incubation: Hatch a Baby Animal!

Got an Offspring? Let’s get started!

Swing by the Pet Store and pick up an Incubator. Place it on your land, then pop the Offspring inside.

You’ll also need to craft 5 Incuvite Potions to begin the hatching process, which you can do right in the Pet Store.

Incuvite Potions progress through four tiers: Basic → Prism → Aurora → Beast. The type and strength of potion you craft will influence what kind of companion shows up in that incubator!

Once hatched, feed your Baby Animal to get resources. Baby Animals can differ in lifespan and drop quality, and they will eventually reach maturity and move on to their forever homes.

Note: Baby animals can be placed on NFT Lands or Specks, with NFT Lands offering higher placement limits. ALL animals are single-use.

🧪 Potion Table Updates

The Potion Table has been updated to support new crafting:

• New Incuvite Potions: Start your craft with Salt

Alchemic Forge introduces a brand new table used to create high-tier tools and specialized potions for various industries.

This industry is an optional side-hustle for upgraded tools and speed/yield potions.

There are 4 tiers, craftable at Metalworking stations!

• Deprecation: The current Wood Beam recipe/item is being replaced

• Players can sell back any hens, slugs, or bees at the Pet Store for around 75% back until January 31st. Make sure to sell any while you still have the chance!

• Fishing energy has been rebalanced (0.4 per click to 0.8 per click)

• Woodworking chests updated. Reduced size of normal chests, but there are now upgraded chests in each tier that gives more space.

Long ago, when the land broke and abundance turned to ash, three Unions rose to restore what was lost. Each follows a different path, yet all share one purpose: to bring balance back to Terra Villa.

WHICH UNION WILL YOU JOIN?

Awaken the wild within: Wildgroves

Wildgroves do not bind the land, they let it breathe. You will see the land grow wild in their keep. Every root and river knows how to heal on its own if we simply step aside. Balance is not forged… it is allowed. If you feel the same, you might just be a Wildgrove. Wildgroves carry Verdant Yieldstones.

Rise with purpose: Seedwrights

Seedwrights believe the land thrives when guided. Left alone, it devours itself. The Hearths respond to care, to effort, to discipline. Seedwrights rebuild not by chance, but by hands that tend with purpose. When you believe in discipline, you believe in Seedwrights. Seedwrights carry Flint Yieldstones.

Embrace the harvest of shadow: Reapers

Reapers believe life and death are the same harvest. They acknowledge that nature gives and takes. They remember the price of the First Flame. Others forget. But they choose to offer what must be given. Reapers believe light and darkness should coincide. Reapers carry Hollow Yieldstones.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

A new building has opened in Terra Villa: Hearth Hall. Step inside to begin a quest that unveils the story of this realm’s Unions and helps you choose your path.

Once you’ve joined a Union, head to the back of the hall to find the three Hearths. Strengthen your Union’s Hearth by placing the correct Yieldstones. Reach 100% health to claim victory for your Union!

Click on a Hearth to open the Hearth Manager and track its progress.

What are Yieldstones?

There are 3 types of Yieldstones: Flint, Verdant and Hollow.

Each type can be placed in its respective Hearth:
🟢 Wildgroves: Verdant
🟡 Seedwrights: Flint
🔴 Reapers: Hollow

As a Union member, your mission is to place as many powerful Yieldstones as you can into your Hearth. Each one strengthens your Union’s health and brings you closer to victory. There are 5 tiers of Yieldstones, with 1 having the lowest power and 5 being the highest. Yieldstones are not tradable.

Where do I get Yieldstones?

There are two ways to get Yieldstones:

1️⃣ Yieldstones will be rewarded through the Infinifunnel in your home. They’ll be rewarded for completing tasks on your taskboard, just as you normally do.

2️⃣ NFT land owners may purchase a Yieldstone Press from the Hearth Halls Chamber Shop. With this, users can generate Yieldstones right on the farm.

To use it, players must first craft Yield Reactors at various industries within Metalworking, Woodworking, Cooking, Business, and Exploration. Once crafted, a Reactor can be placed on the Yieldstone Press to create a brand-new Yieldstone!

There are 5 new items used in crafting Yield Reactors:

• Mirage Egg from Coops (Level 40+ Animal Care)

• Ashnut from Trees (Level 40+ Trees)

• Gloomshard from Mines (Level 40+ Mines)

• Sunbloom from Crops (Level 40+ Crops)

• PearlySwirl from Ponds (Level 40+ Exploration)

Good to know:

• The Yieldstone Press will return a Yieldstone that matches the Union of the land. Unions can be assigned in the land management module.

• There is a limit of 4 per large land and 2 per small land, and they do not compete with any other industry limit. They cannot be placed on Specks.

• This industry provides both Discoverability Points (7000!!!!!!) & surplus.

How do I sabotage others?

Here’s where the fun starts! While completing tasks on the taskboard, you may start to receive Yieldstones from Unions other than your own. If you place a Yieldstone on the Hearth that is not your own, you damage the health of that Hearth.

Sooo… can you defend yourself? Yes!

Pick up some Offerings!

There are two types of offerings available at the Hearth Halls Chamber Shop:

• Power: amplify power for your Hearth (with the choice of global or personal)

• Defence: protects your Hearth against sabotage

By putting them in your Union’s Hearth, you can amplify the power of Yieldstones placed into your Hearth, or protect it from sabotage.

How it works:

To strengthen your Hearth, your Union must submit enough Offerings before the timer runs out. You can see the timer by hovering over the Hearth. Click on your Hearth and open the Offering tab in the Hearth Manager to view the required amount and your current progress.

If your Union reaches the required total before time runs out, your Hearth will level up. Otherwise, the Offerings will be lost, and your Hearth will drop a level or stay the same if it’s already at Level 0.

Can I switch Unions?

Yes! You can switch between Unions anytime. Your first switch costs 50 $PIXEL using a Harvest Union Changer from the Hearth Halls Chamber Shop, with a 48-hour cooldown between changes.

REWARDS 💰

A Season lasts until the first Union reaches 100% Hearth Health. Once a Union claims victory, rewards are distributed among its members:

• 🥇 1st place Union: 70% of the rewards pool

• 🥈 2nd place Union: 30% of the rewards pool

• 🥉 3rd place Union: starter Yieldstones for the next season!

How is the rewards pool determined?

The rewards pool is based on player participation. The more Yieldstones placed into Hearths, the larger the pool grows. And yes, that includes sabotage 👀 At the start of each new Season, the pool resets.

Only contributing players will receive rewards. Rewards are distributed dynamically based on how much each player contributed during the Season.

How about Leaderboards?

Your leaderboard position is determined by your participation throughout the Season, including deposits, sabotages, offerings, etc. Each Union has its own leaderboard, and the top two Unions will earn rewards.

The more total points accumulated across leaderboards, the bigger the prize pool grows.

And for the top player of the Season… something extra special might be waiting. Stay tuned!

GOOD TO KNOW:

Hearth Hall is replacing Terra Villa’s HQ building! With that, the Quantum Recombinator, Karen, and Kathleen can be found in the back of the Post Office!

The residents of Terra Villa need your help!

Start by speaking with Priya at the Post Office to begin the quest. She’ll ask you to fetch a specific item - bring it back to her and you’ll receive a special treat… or maybe a trick.

From there, visit other residents across Terra Villa who need assistance to progress through the quest.

The final resident is known to be tricky, but rumor has it they might reward you with something truly special… if you’re one of the lucky 6 🦇

🎣 2 New Industries: Fishing Ponds & Sushi Tables

How to play:

To get started, head down to the Seaside Stash Store on the docks south of Terra Villa. Once you’ve gathered enough Buoy Bucks, pick up a Fishing Pond or Sushi Table recipe and craft it at the Ministry of Innovation (MOI)!

When they’re ready, place your new industries on your farm to begin. Both contribute to a brand-new land skill type: Exploration. Just like other skill types, make sure to keep your Exploration industry under the 100% limit (this won’t show on the gate yet, coming in a future update!)

You’ll also earn Exploration XP from these new industries, and both support Quicksilver use for faster progress!

🐟 Fishing Ponds:

Fishing Ponds can be placed on any farm, from Speck to NFT, and can only be used by one player at a time. There’s also a communal pond at the beach for everyone to enjoy!

Each land type comes with 4 unique types of fish to discover, alongside a common one. In total, there are 22 new fish species waiting to be caught!

As your Exploration skill grows, you’ll unlock access to rarer fish and new sushi contracts, giving your catches even more value.

🍣 Sushi Tables:

There are 4 Tiers of Sushi Tables, each functioning just like other crafting industries. Tier 1 and Tier 2 tables can be placed anywhere, while Tier 3 and Tier 4 are exclusive to NFT Lands.

Items crafted at Sushi Tables will be featured in new contracts at the Merchant Ships Pier. To start, only Tier 1 recipes will be in contracts. Across all tiers, there are 36 Sushi Recipes to discover and master. Go get rolling 🐠

Boosts are time-limited potions that increase productivity for specific industries. Each industry has two Boost types:
